Alan H. Kramer, MD

Samantha B. Benson, MD

Alan H. Kramer, M.D. attended Georgetown University School of Medicine, where he received his medical degree. He completed his internship, residency, and chief medical residency at Georgetown University Medical Center. Dr. Kramer completed his fellowship in adult rheumatology at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.

After completing his rheumatology fellowship, Dr. Kramer engaged in solo rheumatology practice in Tamarac, Florida for over 29 years. Dr. Kramer and his wife then relocated to the Johns Creek area. The Kramers have two adult sons, one of whom resides in Atlanta.

At Johns Creek Specialist Center, Dr. Kramer's practice offers consultative services in all facets of rheumatology, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, spondylitis, gout, fibromyalgia, and osteoporosis. Dr. Kramer welcomes patients ages 18 and older.


Kevin D. Brown, MD

Kevin D.Brown attended Howard University Medical School in Washington , DC, and completed 3 years of Internal Medical residency at Duke University Hospital in Durham , NC. He completed his fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Brown is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. His clinical interests include diabetes, thyroid disorders, hypertension, lipid disorders and osteoporosis.

Dr. Brown is highly experienced with complicated diabetes, insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors. He is qualified to perform on site thyroid ultrasound, and sonographically guided fine needle aspiration for thyroid and parathyroid disorders. Dr. Brown is a certified interpreter, and performs on site bone densitometry for patients with osteoporosis, low bone mass (osteopenia), and steroid induced osteoporosis. He also performs evaluations for incidentally found nodules (incidentallomas) in the pituitary, thyroid and adrenal glands. Dr. Brown welcomes patients ages 16 and older.

Dr. Brown and his young family have made their home in the Northern Atlanta area to be closer to family. They enjoy outdoor activities.


Roshan Dhawale, MD, MPH

Roshan Dhawale, MD

Roshan Dhawale, MD, MPH attended Bombay University King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital in Mumbai, India, where she received her medical degree. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Medstar Good Samaritan Hospital of Maryland (affiliated with Johns Hopkins University) in Baltimore, Maryland. Her fellowship in rheumatology was completed at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She earned her Masters of Public Health at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts.

Dr. Dhawale is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology, a member of the American College Physicians and is board certified in rheumatology and internal medicine. Her clinical interests include rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus and ankylosing/seronegative spondyloarthropathy.

Prior to joining Johns Creek Specialist Center, Dr. Dhawale practiced rheumatology at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She also served on the academic faculty of University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She has extensive experience researching lupus and other autoimmune conditions, hand osteoarthritis and she has been an invited peer reviewer and made many expert contributions to multiple reference texts in rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus.
